Moodle Course Design - Tips from Higher Ed


Andrews University trains teachers to use Moodle to blend instruction and teach complete online courses.  This session will review the best strategies and tips for successful course design and implementation. This will include tips such as course consistency, engaging learnings using discussion forums, and successful use of groupings.  Learn about strategies for effective and timely communications, adding engaging content and more.  This session is for beginner to advanced Moodle users who want to improve their Moodle course design.

Marsha Beal has been providing Learning Management System support for Andrews University faculty, staff and students since September 2003. She provides front line helpdesk support for LearningHub as well as training and consultation for using educational technology tools in teaching and learning. Marsha has presented at numerous educational technology and Moodle conferences in the last decade. Beside her work for Andrews University she enjoys reading, camping, cross-stitching, collecting snowmen and training her dogs to be good citizens. She is involved in her church working with 7-9 year olds as well as with the youth group ages, 10-16.
