Instructional design
Moodle is a great tool for educators to use. So why are there so many examples of bad or ineffective Moodle sites out there? The answer is a failure to apply basic instructional design principles. In this presentation we will take a quick look at applying principles of instructional design in Moodle.

Darrell Peterson is an instructional designer with more than 20 years experience in the design, development, and implementation of eLearning courses and learning environments. His background encompasses graduate level teaching, instructional design consulting, presentations and publications related to the use of instructional technology, educational web publishing, and research in learning technologies. Darrell currently works as an instructional Designer for the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Learning Technologies at the University of Minnesota.
